“We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.” (2 Thessalonians 1:3 NIV)
This summer we will walk through the letters of Paul to the church in Thessalonica. A prominent theme in these letters concerns the second coming of Jesus. While that can be an intriguing focus of conversation and curiosity, there is also much practical encouragement and instruction in these letters. We are reminded that it is important to live our present daily lives to the fullest, even as we live in confident hope that Jesus will come again.
